👉 U.S. Military Strikes and Capture of Venezuelan Leader -- 

The United States launched a large-scale military operation in northern Venezuela on 3 January, which included airstrikes in Caracas. 


👉 Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores were captured by U.S. forces and taken to the U.S. to face federal charges including drug trafficking and narco-terrorism. 


👉 The U.S. justified the operation as part of its efforts against narcotics and terrorism, but global reactions were mixed, with several countries and leaders questioning the legality and impact on international norms.

1. AIIMS Introduces New Patient Facility

👉 The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, operationalised a new Ashray facility to support patients waiting overnight for outpatient services, easing discomfort and improving access to care. 


2. Large-Scale Digital Reforms

👉 The Government launched an E-Bill System for fertiliser subsidies to digitally process nearly ₹2 lakh crore in payments annually, ensuring transparency and faster clearances.
